Diesel Equipment Field Service Technician

Qualifications:

Technician must have a minimum of five years working with construction and AG equipment. He/she must be a graduate of a technical school or equivalent with the ability to comprehend service manuals, testing equipment, wiring schematics and hydraulic systems. Computer experience with knowledge of diagnostic software systems is a must. Technician must have own tools.

Primary & Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair construction equipment and diesel tractors
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Perform service bulletins and updates as required
  • Assist in technical support to service advisors as required
  • Verify that equipment meets all safety standards and before delivery 
  • Test and clean machinery 
  • Clean and maintain workspace and tools
  • Assist other technicians when needed 
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Power Equipment Specialist

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent college degree. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be highly motivated and assist customers and fellow team members. Candidate must be a team player with a positive and outgoing attitude. Highly organized and able to multitask. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to learn and to obtain knowledge on a vast array of power equipment and related parts. Basic computer knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Part Smart, and being able to  navigate various online websites. Must be self motivated with routine tasks as provided by management during any period of downtime. Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • A power equipment specialist will focus primarily on selling of outdoor power equipment for residential and commercial customers such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, generators and powered hand equipment via walk-in, telephone or email
  • Use provided resources for selling
  • Being able to process shipping and receiving of parts
  • Stocking of parts in proper locations
  • Physical inventory of parts periodically as directed by manager
  • Keeping of demo equipment, parts shelving, storage area and counter area neat and clean
  • Process in stock and special order parts orders in point of sale system
  • Filling parts and service department orders
  • He/she will be responsible for consulting and providing support with walk-in and phone calls from customers and assisting them in making a purchase decision. 
  • He/she will be responsible for ensuring that a sale of parts and equipment is conducted according to AE10  

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Power equipment specialist will be responsible for various assigned tasks including, but not limited to the following; working with other team members to provide a safe and clean environment for customers inside and outside of showroom, such as snow removal ,dusting  and block showroom shelving
  • Identify and make hydraulic hoses
  • Participate in training as scheduled by manager and HR
  • Ability to learn equipment financing
