Position: Power Equipment Specialist
Reports To: Parts Manager
A power equipment specialist must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Also this person must be highly motivated to assist customers and fellow team members. Candidate must be a team player with a positive and outgoing attitude. The candidate must have the ability to learn and to obtain knowledge on a vast array of power equipment and related parts. This person must have intermediate computer knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and be extremely proficient with search engines. Above all, the candidate must be energetic, outgoing and able to work in a fast paced work environment. Relative experience is preferred, but not required.
A Power Equipment Specialist is responsible for customer service relative to all brands of outdoor power equipment handled at Ahearn Equipment. This includes selling equipment, sales and lookup of parts and providing service advice. Power equipment brands are as follows:
Process counter sales, look-up, shipping and receiving of parts
Assemble new power equipment as necessary
Consult with and provide support to walk-in and phone customers, assisting them in making a purchase or service decision.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that sales of parts, equipment and service items are conducted according to AE performance standards.
